FAQ’s
What are dermal fillers, and how can they help with anti-aging?
Dermal fillers are a naturally-derived or synthetic material that is directly injected into skin with the purpose of plumping that area to the point where the wrinkle, depression, or fold is gone. Depending on the type of filler, the effects can last anywhere from six months to two years; for semi-permanent or permanent fillers, the effects can last up to five years, and there are reports of even longer-lasting results.
What is Liposuction? How Effective are the results?
Liposuction is a procedure where fat cells are sucked away from under the skin, with the goal of improving the contour and proportion of the patient’s body. Sometimes fat in certain places on the body doesn’t go away with traditional exercise. Liposuction can help get rid of multiple trouble areas, and the results are effective.
Can you receive a tummy-tuck if you have had a C-section?
If you have had a C-section, a tummy tuck can hide your scars. A tummy tuck can help remove excess skin, tighten, and contour your body.
What is a Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation continues to be one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States. A breast augmentation is done using breast implants or your own fat to increase the fullness and size of your breasts, improve balance to your figure, and enhance your self-image and self-confidence.
What is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a procedure that does not involve the process of putting in implants. This procedure is used to lift and tighten the breast tissue that you have, so that your breasts have a more natural and appealing contour and shape. As women age, pregnancy, and other factors can cause your breasts to sag, droop, and leave you feeling less confident. The breast lift surgery will help lift up the tissue so that your breasts appear firm, perky, and younger looking.
Can I get a breast augmentation and breast lift simultaneously?
A Breast augmentation does not correct severely drooping breasts. If you want your breasts to look fuller and to be lifted due to sagging, a breast lift may be required in conjunction with breast augmentation. A breast lift can often be done at the same time as your augmentation or may require a separate operation. Your plastic surgeon will assist you in making the best decision for your body.
Are there possible surgery complications and risks that I should be aware of?
With any surgical procedure, similar to driving a car, there is always a possibility of risks and complications. These can be minimized by choosing an experienced plastic surgeon, and following the doctors’ orders and asking questions.
Will I be able to breastfeed after having breast surgery?
You will most likely be able to breast feed after having breast surgery, but it depends on the type of procedure done. Most approaches are compatible with breast feeding. There may be some sensitivity to the breasts.
